Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) are documents that summarize the needs, resources, and systems within communities. The Northeast Tri County Health District coordinates individual CHNAs for Ferry, Pend Oreille, and Stevens Counties every 3-5 years. These Northeast Washington CHNAs belong to all community members, including partners, and can help agencies focus their activities, obtain resources, and identify partnerships.
Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIPs) are created from Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) and are intended to focus the community needs into evidence-based goals and objectives aimed to resolve disparities, improve health, and reduce barriers. The Northeast Tri County Health District coordinates individual CHIPs for Ferry, Pend Oreille, and Stevens Counties every 3-5 years, following completion of the CHNAs. These Northeast Washington CHIPs belong to all community members, including partners, and can help agencies focus their activities, obtain resources, and identify partnerships.
County Health Insights is maintained by the Spokane Regional Health District and houses a variety of health-related data and reports for counties in Eastern Washington. Data included within the site are collected from a variety of federal, state, and local databases.
The annual rankings provide a revealing snapshot of how health is influenced by where we live, learn, work, and play. Counties within each state are ranked annually according to the physical and mental well-being residents. Data for each county can be compared to the totals for the state as a whole and the entire United States.
